CONCRETE

Pullman Court
London
2016
Curated by Jaime Gili with the Pullman Court at 80 committee.

CONCRETE was a group exhibition curated by Jaime Gili with the Pullman Court at 80 committee, in which 17 artists were invited to work with Pullman Court´s history and its spaces.

A resident in Pullman Court for over 15 years, Gili made a site specific painting for the inner walls of the original 1936 elevator, and, in another work, he has recreated the shape of the original columns in the entrance of one of the buildings, which were removed in the 1950s. He has considered these pillars and the original colours of the building as elements of extreme formal importance that are missing today and are worthy of a restoration plan.
